Geothermal piling

We are at the forefront of geothermal engineering, transforming foundations into a sustainable energy solution to support the UK’s transition towards a Net Zero built environment.

We have developed the UK’s first geothermal precast concrete driven piles to support the transition to Net Zero.

Geothermal foundations offer a smarter way to build. By integrating our closed-loop circuits – containing heat transfer fluid – into structural foundations, we utilise the Earth’s stable subsurface temperatures to provide efficient, low-carbon heating and cooling solutions. When connected to a ground source heat pump, these systems provide efficient energy for heating and cooling buildings, de-icing roads and cooling infrastructure such as tunnels.

We have developed techniques for integrating geothermal loops into rotary large diameter, Continuous Flight Auger and driven precast concrete piles as well as driven steel tubes and diaphragm wall panels – delivering long-term energy savings without compromising structural integrity.

To maximise value and performance, we work collaboratively with architects, structural and geotechnical engineers, geothermal specialists and building services teams from the outset of a project. This integrated approach ensures that geothermal systems are seamlessly integrated into the design and construction process.
